Happy almost thursday

Haven't hit the gym yet - but it's only 9:00pm :) maybe in a little while - or squats ... Thinking about doing those from home tonight 👊💪

Skipped breakfast again ... Bad habit!

Missed a day but back at it!

Totally fell asleep on the couch last night! I was out by 9 and didn't wake back up till after 1am! I had to work the next morning, so I just went back to bed actually in bed! 

No gym that night :(

Eating wasn't too bad -
Forgot breakfast - I am still working in that. I don't give myself enough time in the morning for everything and I'm usually not hungry so thats the last thing in thinking about before heading out :( 

Lunch- subway turkey on wheat. 
Pepper jack , spinach , onion , cucumber , banana peppers , olives - no sauce - instead I do - salt/pepper , oil/vinegar and Parmesan cheese :) Oh and a few baked chips for a crunch
-- my go to sub , I couldn't tell you how many I ate when I was pregnant lol!

I snacked on some dry cereal as well, needed a sweet fix :(

Dinner ... I don't remember lol, I that was about when I fell asleep :) oh but I did have Yogurt for a snack when i woke up- it had a mix in of chocolate mini ball things? 


And today -
Skipped breakfast ... Again
Lunch , I picked up pizza - I had 1 slice. Normally I would have had closer to 4 , but I just had the one and drank a bunch of water.

Late lunch/dinner was an egg with a little cheese in a tortilla - a breakfast or dinner kinda night 

Later I made ground turkey and stir fry veggies in soy sauce .... Meh , wayyy too salty!

Wanted to lay on the couch - but opted to get my work out clothes on and just go- quick warm up , Max out incline (15) for about 8mins and the 10 incline for 2 ish ... Posted this below and ended up with someone else making it out for her workout!


 Well my exhausted and now off to bed!

Day 2 complete

Thak you slacker radio for taking me back to high school with some awesome music!

Just got back from the gym- 
30 min on the treadmill - I don't do too much running / joggin - I do the highest incline (15) at about 2.5-2.8 speed . It gets my heart rate up to a cardio level- eventually I will run / jog more! Followed by legs and arms on the machines for another 20-25 mins

Food:
Breakfast! I ate it! Big step for me- not muh butbi had a few bites of over nihht oats -with raw honey and babanas- I never eat breakfast  , I have coffee. Black- no sugar not creamer ... As you can see from the below photo, my boss lady and I feel the same way about the importance if coffee!


Lunch - husband and I made tilapia and homemade mango salsa! I am not a fish person - so this was way out if my comfort zone, but it was actually pretty good! Even the kids ate it :) 1/2 of a tilapia and a spoon of salsa

Snack- muller yogurt with granola
Pita bread and hummus

Dinner - 3 hard boiled eggs
After gym snack another pita bread and hummus split with my hubs.

Oh and hubs grandma came over and brought ice cream. Seriously! Mudslide flavored??? Well , I didn't touch it! And don't plan on it!

So there it is , day 2

Back again - day 1

No pills - no shakes -no powder - just me , eating better and the gym. That's it. (me a few weeks ago)
Today-
We went out for lunch with Hubs parents- pizza / wings / salad ... I had 1 slice of pepperoni, a few wings and finished off the salad. Not the greatest choice , but I have done worse.

But for dinner- I made some turkey meatballs! Actually reallllly good. Especially considering improvised the recipe - pretty much 1lb ground turkey , some seasonings 2 slices of bread cut up into little squares ( I didn't have bread crumbs ...) baked at 350 for about 20 mins. Even hubs liked! Dipped in some plain tomato sauce with some seasoning and that was my dinner!

Even made it to the gym today- I don't really want to go. I was making up excuses not to
1. It's late ( true it was about 930pm)
2. I could just watch tv and do some squats (sure.. A few inbetween commercials)
3. I'm sure I will wake up with some extra time to go in the morning ... (ya right) 

Finally I just put in my work out clothes and just went - glad I made it :) got home about 11:15 pm ... So I made it before midnight :)
 
Oh and experimenting with over night oats? Plain oats - raw honey , sliced bananas greek yogurt - had a few bits after the gym - pretty good, hopefully it's good by morning :)

Well there it is, 
September 1st 2013 -making a change , lifestyle change. 

Starting weight 170 - a little over 10 lbs from a few months ago when I started this blog.

Measurements are written down, need to find them and post and take some new ones.

Back at it and some new shorts

am a terrible dieter and gym go-er.

But I made it to the gym today!

I have been addicted to Greek salad and have has it for at least 1 meal a day for the last 4 days or so :) its better than taco hell! 

But yes gym did happen today- I did an hour on the treadmill - and ended up with a nice size blister on my left foot that us killing me!

Oh and I bought a pair if pretty awesome shorts I plan in Wearing out on my birthday Saturday night!N
Need to work on my butt a bit :) but eh I liked the shorts and might go back for the neon pink ones ;)

Wednesday- dentist and coffee ad random thoughts

Waiting for a cleaning at the dentist do figured I would blog lol :)

I remember when I had my wisdom teeth pulled- all 4 at once... Story for another day ....  Anyways - I couldn't eat for a like 4 days , so I drank slim fast and had a few bites of mashed potatoes - I think I lost 7 lbs - dental work seems to be a weight loss solution hahaha just kidding, just killing some time in the waiting room :)

I went out to get my girls some birthday presents and came back and realized I forgot my measuring tape! So frustrated- buy hubs went out to do his shopping and got one for me! 

So , now I need to look into the proper way to measure - I'm sure I can google that :)


Weight has gone down a few lbs and back up one then down a little . I have it all written down on my mirror - white board markers on glass have been perfect - hubs and I can both track and see the progress (or lack of) right there in the bathroom!

He's lost 30 lbs :) i am so happy for him , not that I thought he needed to , but he feels better and I am totally proud if him, and slightly jealous 

My birthday is in 2 weeks (6/15) and the fathers day the next - i need to find him an awesome present, he really is an amazing dad 💚

Well should be going back to the chair in a few

Shake it

So I got my "body by vi" shakes yesterday, so I figured I would start the challenge today- the 1st of June!

Started with a grocery run, needed to get a few things to mix in my shakes- 

First up - butter finger :) actually really tasty! Hubby had a few sips and liked it too!

I think I need a new blender tho- my milk shake was more milk... Less shake ;)

But none the less, still good!

Oh and did a weigh in this evening at 182lbs ... So I will use that as my start.

Need to get a measuring tape - I want to base success not just on lbs lost- but also inches ... That will be a trip to the store tomorrow!

Started today-

I am officially a member of Golds Gym!

I had been going on a guest pass, but hubs said if I will actually go- and not just get a membership and then forget about it... He would pay for it!!!

For many reasons, I have an amazingly awesome husband- this is just another one to add to the list =]

Also, signed up for the "body by vi" challenge- this is a new concept for me as I have never joined in on anything like this- should have my first batch of powder goodness in a few days, so wish me luck!

I need to get a measuring tape- soft I've that I can use for body measurements, I sit want TI ONLY focus on the pounds lost , but the inches as well. Honestly , in more about muscle tone as strength than just loosing lots of pounds - I'm always hearing "muscle weighs more than fat" 

But let's be honest there is a great feeling of accomplishment when the scale goes down, so I am not saying I won't check out the numbers and hope they go down!

So hope that with the body by vi and the gym membership and giving up on some unhealthy food choices, things will start to change!

Membership getting used the first day! Yoga tomorrow!! No Zumba today because of the holiday :(

30 day squat challenge!

Jumping in on this one and just started today!


Was going to do a "I'll start on Monday" but I figure- why wait, just start now!

So day one completed , a few more to go.

Think I will take a before an after photo- for my own record and maybe ill share after I'm finished.

Tomorrow is Monday and Zumba is back on the schedule! Yeah :)

It's Friday!



So calling it a good week! Made it to the gym 4 days - ran once and chose a Greek salad over taco bell ;)

I have this thing for a #10 from taco bell :(

But I made the choice to get a salad... It was pretty - but not as satisfying. Hoping a few more days of healthy choices will get my carb-y cheese-y ness addiction out of the way!


So Zumba has been a blast! I am still getting the hang of it and still pretty terrible at it - but I am not giving up! 
If anything I'm breaking a sweat- 

Now it's time to start the weekend!

Kids are napping- hubs is in the living room and I'm typing a blog post... Getting crazy at our place!

Looks like yard work and that fun stuff this weekend... Ill consider it a work out ;)

Half way through week one

Zumba was better last night! I was slightly less awkward! Apparently I have lost all my rhythm ... Or what rhythem I thought I had was just an illusion brought on by the alcohol I would consume at the time I was dancing! Maybe that's what I need - ;)

Ok not going to bring vodka in my water bottle- I actually craved water throughout the hour I was zuba-ing. I was smart , 2nd Zumba class I actually brought a jug- like a gallon of water haha , I drank about half- I guess that helps with my water intake for the day

I really wish I craved water now , like I did when I was pregnant- I couldn't get enough!

My water craving has been replaced with a need for coffee- and lots of it!

Zumba again tonight! Im excited!

I have been going with R who I met on a fitness page- her membership has buddy passes, but I want to get my own membership soon- husband person has been at the same gym for a while so I will just add onto his soon.

Eating habits still suck- need to work on that stat!

The beginning

I'm D-
25 almost 26 year old wife to K and mommy of twin girls who will be 2 years old in June!

I was a stick in highschool. I am just under 6' tall and weighed about 145 at the end if my senior year.

Add in desk job, boyfriend now husband, less active life- think of less party more pasta and movies on the couch followed by surprise- you're pregnant, and surprise there are two in there, full term twin pregnancy...

I am no where near where I was before! And do not expect to ever be back I that, let's face it, kids change your body- but I want to take back what I can.

So here I am.

Taking charge and really working towards a goal.

But I haven't really thought of my end goal- is it total weight loss, is it ability to run a 5k, not look reduculous during Zumba ... I don't know

But here are a few to start

- make it to 3-4 classes a week at the gym with a friend I made on a moms group.
Monday,Wednesday,Thursday are Zumba ... Tuesday is yoga
-eat breakfast - I am terrible at that!
-run 2-3 nights a week , nothing crazy , just a 20+ min run around the block.
-ear better - but I don't know what that will mean to me
-keep track of progress in writing -- so that's where this blog comes in :)

Oh so here is what I have started-

Monday 5.13.13 went to my first Zumba class
Tuesday 5.14.13 went to my first yoga class!
Tonight is another Zumba :)

Need to weigh myself in the morning haven't done that for a few days and don't remember what it was!
